Dr. How Kwang Yeong is a Senior Consultant in the Colorectal Service at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore. He also serves as Director of the Endoscopy Centre and Clinical Director of the Perioperative Recovery Office. He earned his medical degree from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, in 2007, and completed his Master of Medicine (Surgery) in 2013. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and has been a registered surgical specialist since 2014.

Dr. How specializes in minimally invasive colorectal surgery, with a focus on colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease. He received further advanced training in surgery for recurrent and advanced pelvic cancers at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, under the mentorship of Professor Michael Solomon.

A passionate advocate for Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS®), Dr. How played a key role in establishing the ERAS® programme at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. The programme has received multiple international awards and is one of only two Centres of Excellence in Asia recognized by the international ERAS® Society. In his current role, he leads the hospital’s efforts to implement evidence-based perioperative care protocols.

Dr. How also oversees one of the busiest endoscopy units in Singapore and contributes to advancing endoscopic care and education. He is an executive committee member of the ERAS® Society and a past president of the Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (Singapore).

In addition to his clinical and leadership roles, Dr. How is actively involved in medical education. He serves as a Senior Clinical Lecturer at both the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS, and the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, NTU.
