Charlette R. Hart, MSN, RN, CMSRN is a nurse leader, educator, and nationally recognized expert in Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) program development and optimization. She is known for advancing evidence based perioperative care through strategic leadership, clinical innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Charlette serves in a senior leadership role at Baylor Scott & White Health, where she has led the development, expansion, and optimization of ERAS programs across multiple surgical specialties. She is a Course Director, Moderator, and Presenter for the ERAS USA–Baylor Scott & White Health Annual Symposium and has served as Course Director for the Baylor Scott & White Health ERAS Symposium since 2017, delivering accredited education for multidisciplinary audiences.
In April 2026, Charlette was appointed Chair of the Nursing Committee for the ERAS® Society, an international medical society dedicated to improving perioperative outcomes worldwide. In this role, she provides strategic leadership to advance global nursing engagement and professional practice within ERAS.
A sought after speaker and published author, Charlette has presented nationally and internationally and contributed to peer reviewed literature focused on multimodal analgesia, opioid stewardship, ERAS guideline compliance, and perioperative outcomes. She is passionate about mentoring nurse leaders, empowering high performing teams, and translating evidence into sustainable clinical practice.
