Dr. Mingxiao Yang is a clinician-scientist with a cross-disciplinary background in clinical medicine, integrative health, and translational biomedical research. He currently serves as Assistant Professor at the School of Biological Sciences and Chinese Medicine Clinic, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, where he directs the Integrative Health (iHEALTH) Lab. His research focuses on developing and evaluating evidence-based complementary and integrative medicine interventions—ranging from acupuncture and herbal medicine to digital and mind-body therapies—for improving outcomes across cancer care and chronic disease management.

Dr. Yang’s work spans multiple domains, including symptom science (e.g., pain, sleep, neuropathy, balance), systems biology (e.g., multi-omics and neuroimaging), and digital health innovation (e.g., AI-driven diagnostics, mobile interventions). He has held appointments at Harvard Medical School, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and the University of Hong Kong, and his work is supported by agencies such as the U.S. NIH, Singapore MOE, and the Hong Kong Health Bureau. A core aim of his lab is to translate complex traditional medicine knowledge into scalable, precision health solutions that align with modern clinical standards—particularly in areas like supportive oncology, enhanced recovery, and public health integration. He has published over 70 peer-reviewed articles and contributes actively to global initiatives in integrative medicine education, policy, and implementation science.
