Christina Norris is a specialist geriatrician and recognised perioperative medicine physician based in Randwick, Sydney. She is a Staff Specialist Geriatrician at Prince of Wales Public Hospital and Consultant Geriatrician at Prince of Wales Private Hospital, with a clinical focus on older people who are contemplating, undergoing, or recovering from surgery.
Christina holds fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and is a Graduate of the Chapter of Perioperative Medicine through ANZCA. Her work sits at the interface of geriatric medicine, surgery and anaesthesia, with a particular focus on delirium prevention, recovery after surgery, and collaborative models of care for older patients living with complex comorbidity, frailty and cognitive impairment.
She leads care for older surgical patients through the Care of Older People in Surgery (COPS) service at Prince of Wales Hospital, an integrated model embedding geriatric medicine into surgical pathways. She is a committee member of CHASM, the NSW Collaborating Hospitals’ Audit of Surgical Mortality, and a founding member of the Australian and New Zealand Society for Geriatric Medicine Perioperative Medicine Special Interest Group.
