Dr Ho-Jin Lee is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at Seoul National University College of Medicine and practices at Seoul National University Hospital. His primary clinical responsibilities include anesthesia for major abdominal surgery and the operation of a preoperative assessment clinic. His principal academic interests lie in perioperative medicine, with particular emphasis on perioperative pain management.

He earned his medical degree from Seoul National University College of Medicine in South Korea and subsequently completed his residency training in anesthesiology at Seoul National University Hospital. He then undertook a clinical fellowship in pain medicine at the Pain Center of Seoul National University Bundang Hospital, after which he returned to Seoul National University Hospital, where he continues to provide clinical anesthesia care.

He is currently leading ERAS programs for a variety of abdominal oncologic surgeries at Seoul National University Hospital as part of a national research initiative and is actively involved in multiple national ERAS committees in South Korea. His clinical and research activities focus on acute and chronic pain management, perioperative care pathways, and patient-centered recovery outcomes.

He presently serves as a member of the Scientific Committee of the Korean Society of Anesthesiologists and as an Associate Editor of the Korean Journal of Pain, an SCIE-indexed journal.
