Dr Frederick Koh is a Consultant in the Department of Colorectal Surgery at Sengkang General Hospital and serves as Principal Investigator of the SKH Musculoskeletal Regenerative Laboratories. He also leads the SingHealth Duke-NUS Muscle Health Programme, reflecting his commitment to translational medicine and innovation in surgical care.
His clinical interests span colorectal surgical oncology, surgical nutrition, prehabilitation, and acute care surgery. Deeply invested in Academic Surgery, Dr Koh actively contributes to both clinical and basic science research in colorectal surgery, sarcopenia, and artificial intelligence in endoscopy.
He holds a PhD in Clinical and Translational Sciences, with his research focused on the impact of sarcopenia on surgical outcomes. His work has been widely published in peer-reviewed journals and has garnered recognition from global healthcare partners, including Abbott International, Hyphens Pharma, Pharmacosmos, and Medtronic, with whom he collaborates as a Key Opinion Leader.
Dr Koh continues to advocate for evidence-based surgical practice through rigorous research, education, and multidisciplinary collaboration to improve patient care and outcomes.
